At the time, the creation of the DÚO module concept by Freixanet Wellness was a real milestone in the way sauna and steam rooms were integrated. The key innovation was moving from two independent sets of equipment in the same wellness space to fully integrating both within a single structure.
Now, the sector’s leading brand takes a further step in the evolution of this concept, incorporating more advanced technology and applying a design that combines attractiveness and functionality.
The NEW DÚO comprises two differentiated spaces:
• Sauna with horizontal hemlock panelling. Incorporates an open hot-stone heating system that balances perfectly high performance and compact size. Both heater and benches have been fitted with indirect lighting to highlight the sauna’s aesthetics and increase the sense of relaxation.
• WELLPRO® steam room. Features a characteristic chromotherapy shower, starry sky and illuminated steam entrance, located on one of its sides. The interior cladding is in synthetic stone plaques, measuring 50cm in width. The benches follow straight and minimalist lines, and include indirect lighting along their base.
Glass plays a central role in this ensemble, as it is the material used to separate both spaces --in this way providing a greater sense of continuity-- and also for the pivoting doors.
Finally, the module’s structure itself integrates the technical elements within its side panels, which provides a real optimization of space.
The NEW DÚO module is new proof of the consistent work by Freixanet Wellness’s R&D department to ensure being always at the forefront of spa design and installation.
