The ME Ibiza, a hotel belonging to the prestigious Meliá Hotels & Resorts chain, has a new wellness space that has been perfectly integrated into its outdoor area. Freixanet Wellness was responsible for both the design and the installation of this complete DÚO+ module, a structure specially designed for outdoor use which occupies approximately 3.5 x 13 meters and is made up of a sauna, steam bath, and special showers.
The establishment is a spectacular 5-star hotel located in Santa Eulalia del Río, a beautiful and quiet town on Ibiza’s east coast, overlooking a sea of turquoise waters. It is located in a beautiful bay which is easily accessible by boat and within walking distance of the island's lively nightlife.
The CASUAL sauna, meanwhile, is specially designed for intensive and continuous use, and stands out for its Canadian hemlock wood paneling. It features several complementary elements to maximize well-being during the sauna session, such as the glass front with views of the hotel's outdoor area, or the indirect ALBAZZA lighting under the backrests.
When discussing the WELLPRO® steam bath, a special mention must be made for the high-performance steam generator, the glass front to match the sauna, the indirect ALBAZZA lighting around the perimeter of the cabin and the starry sky ceiling with dozens of fiber optic light points that light up intermittently.
A spacious shower area has also been installed between both cabins, which is housed in a WELLPRO® structure that is especially resistant to humidity. Three different treatments are combined in this space: a ceiling shower with chromotherapy, a rain shower, and a sequential shower with thermal contrasts.
In short, the ME Ibiza houses another Freixanet Wellness project which reinforces the presence of the company across all the islands in the Balearic market.
